Fracture Care
- Closed Treatment of a Fracture (non-operative such as casting or splinting)
- Closed Reduction of a Fracture (restoration to normal position or alignment)
- Open Reduction Internal Fixation of Fracture (insertion of metal rods, pins, wire, etc. into the bone fragments through an incision over the fracture site)
- Percutaneous Skeletal Fixation (fracture fragments are not visualized, but pins are place across the fracture site, usually under x-ray imaging)
